This cabinet weighs in at a hefty 80 lbs with the optional end panels applied. The top speaker built from Cherry veneered MDF houses the Lowther DX2 drivers with the Audio Nirvana 8's on top, and the lower cabinets, built for myself and for a customer in Canada use the Lowther DX2 and DX3s respectively as the main drivers. I have used my cabinets for a year now and I remain impressed by the stunning clarity and detail and the low end has developed quite nicely. I love these speakers! The interior is MDF with the optional solid Maple and a Walnut stripe applied to the sides.  A 1" foil backed rigid insulation (Owens Corning 703) is used in the top third of the cabinet for dampening the twin port design. I am using a Bottlehead Paramount 300B in my home system and the sound is awesome. Here is an email I received from the Canadian customer's wife...
